The Alliance Française Foundation
The AF Foundation, created in July 2007 , is recognised as being in the public interest .
Its mission is as follows :
- to develop the teaching of French and the dissemination of French-speaking culture
- to promote cultural diversity by organising events to showcase foreign artists such as "Alliances en résonance"
- to provide support for Alliances Françaises in the setup and management of their centres
- to monitor compliance with the "quality policy applied to the activities of Alliances Françaises" benchmark.
In addition to its work of advice and coordination , the Foundation provides financial support for the creation of new Alliances, their equipment or specific projects such as access to French for disadvantaged groups or the "Alliance Verte " environmental programme.
